Berbatov left As.Monaco and he hinted a possible Premier League return

The 34 year old Bulgarian footballer DimitarBerbatov has left As.Monaco after spending 1 year and half with As.Monaco but after his contract ran out, the club opted to not renew his contract and now Berbatov is a free agent.

It’s believed that the wages of DimitarBerbatov were just too high for As.Monaco to deal with for a player who is reaching the twilight stages of his career. During Berbatov’s time at the French club, he was earning £70,000 each month but it has now reached its end.

Berbatov has joined over 6 top European clubs during his entire playing career but it was with Manchester United where he truly managed to make a name for himself and lift major titles. Even at his elevated age, there still are clubs which are interested in signing the veteran player including the recently promoted team Bournemouth F.C.

When DimitarBerbatov was asked about making a return to the Premier League, the Bulgarian attacker replied by saying: ‘’It would be a pleasure to return to England. I spent a long time in England and I keep very good memories. Everyone is watching the Premier League, and I’ll be delighted to return.I feel good and I still think I have a lot to give to football’’

Another one of the next possible football destination for DimitarBerbatov is Olympiakos and it’s even being rumored that talks have already been taking place involving the agent of Berbatov and some of the head chiefs of the Greek club.

In recent times, As.Monaco has seen some of their high profile and more recognized players leaving the club as James Rodriguez, RadamelFalcao and now DimitarBerbatov. Rodriguez was signed by Real Madrid for an astronomically high transfer fee of around €80 meanwhile Falcao completed his season long loan deal to Stamford Bridge as he joined Chelsea.

DimitarBerbatov on the other still has an unclear future but a return to the Premier League is a possible outcome.
