Berbatov on Mourinho’s departure
Former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov believe that the Red Devils have done the right thing by replacing the Portuguese manager. He said that the team has been stalling in recent times and he felt that a change was needed if the club wants to progress.
He said that the players were not playing for the manager and that there were many players that were under performing since the arrival of the Portuguese manager. For this reason, he believes that it has been a good thing for the club to replace the manager as this will help bring some fresh air at the club.
Dimitar Berbatov said that now the objective of the team is to qualify for the Champions League and he believes that they have the right personnel to do it. He said that the title will be decided between Manchester City and Liverpool and that Manchester United will have to fight against Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Arsenal for the final two places.
He said that it will all depend on how they adapt to their new manager as well as their consistency. He said that the Premier League has become quite competitive nowadays and that it is the most consistent team that will be able to perform.
He said that it is important that some players stop under performing and make sure that they give their best for the team if they want their club to climb up the table.
