DIMITAR BERBATOV LEAVES PAOK WITH NEW HAIR

Dimitar Berbatov will leave Greek football this summer after his former club PAOK refused to offer him a new deal.

The player suffered a lot of injuries in the past season that affected his time available for games for the club, but the club wants him out. The player was prone to a lot of injuries as well when he was playing in the English Premier League.

In a press conference last month, the club’s president Lubos Michel said that Dimitar Berbatov did his best for the team, but that the club decided to opt out of contract renewal talks based on his performance in the season ended. The Bulgarian had a one year deal with the club back in September 2015, joining PAOK from Thessaloniki. Berbatov made the move after to Thessaloniki his two seasons at French side Monaco.

Since joining the Greek side, he managed only four goals in 25 games. However, there are reports that Newcastle United, an English Championship side, are keen on landing the player this summer as they are in need of a striker to prosecute games. Rafa Benitez is likely to sign the 35-year old player for a year as they fight for promotion back into England’s elite league.

The ex-Monaco man had a hair transplant in the last summer and the stunning new look was on display when he featured in the charity match in England. The player showed lots of skills and played brilliant football at the Soccer Aid event. The new look due to the hair cause quite a stir on social media, with many twitter users making the player trend in England as they hadn’t seen him in a while. His hard was balding when he played for Monaco last year and the new look due to the hair transplant was surprising.
