DimitarBerbatov’s brace not enough to beat England in charity match

Former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs striker DimitarBerbatov scored two goals for the Rest of the World but was unable to prevent them from being beaten 3-2.

The charity match Soccer Aid was held at Old Trafford and opposed an England to a Rest of the World team.

Both teams consisted of a blend of retired football players and international stars. The England side consisted of star players such as Jermain Defoe, Jamie Carragher, Sol Campbell, Phil Neville and Robbie Fowler. Among the international stars England had Olly Murs and Robbie Williams in the team.

The Rest of the World team, on the other hand, had players such as Ronaldinho, Cafu, and Edgar Davids and managed by Claudio Ranieri.

It was the Rest of the World team that started the match well with Ronaldinho showing his talents on the pitch and nutmegging players to his heart content.

However, it was the England team that will open the scoring in the second half thanks to a superb goal from Mark Wright on a free-kick. But England will be reduced to ten men afterward when Shephard will be sent off for a second bookable offence.

The Rest of the World team will seize the opportunity after the sending off and come back into the game. DimitarBerbatov will score a goal in the 56th minute and then a second one on a penalty.

Afterward, it will be Jermain Defoe who will steal the show and score goals for England. His first goal will come in the 65th minute when he will dribble past Cannavaro and score a great goal. His second goal will come in the closing stage of the game when he will score a marvelous goal to give England the win.
