BERBS A DELIGHT TO PLAY WITH
The Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has said that it is a pleasure to play alongside the former Manchester United and Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov. He has also expressed his surprise at how quickly the Bulgarian has settled to life at Craven cottage.
Fulham managed to secure the signing of the 31-year-old Bulgarian international on the final day of the transfer window. They had managed to secure him from the noses of the Italian club Fiorentina. He started his life with his new club in the best possible manner after scoring two goals on his debut. Even though he is unlikely to be fit for the match against Manchester city, Mark Schwarzer has said that he is surprised at how quickly he has been able to settle.
Dimitar Berbatov not only scored in the match against West Brom, but he was also quite spectacular in the match against Wigan as well. He provided the crucial assist for the former Wigan player Rodallega scored the opening in the match. Fulham then went on to win the match 2-1, thus claiming a crucial away victory. The Australian International was extremely good in the match against Wigan. He has said that he wants to continue his good form against Manchester city as well.
“Dimitar Berbatov is an excellent player, everyone knows what a great player he is and he’s been excellent for us since the day he arrived. He’s a top pro who is happy to help out the young boys and I think he’s a massive plus for us and we’ve seen that in the games he’s played. When you’ve got new players added to the squad, it’s always important to have that core of a team that have the experience and know what it’s like to play for Fulham Football Club,” said Schwarzer.
