BERBATOV PREDICTS CHELSEA GAME CORRECTLY

Former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker Dmitar Berbatov was spot on with his prediction for the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Newcastle United on Monday night. As monitored by popular media platform Metro, DmitarBerbatov had said before the game that Chelsea will beat Newcastle United 2-0 at home and that was what happened when the two teams met at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have improved significantly under new manager Thomas Tuchel and the newfound form continued against the Magpies. Chelsea were made to work hard for the win by Newcastle United, who are flirting with the relegation at the moment. Newcastle United have seven points more than Fulham in the third and final relegation zone though the Cottagers have played one game less than Newcastle United. Chelsea got their two goals against the Magpies through first half substitute Olivier Giroud and German international Timo Werner.

The win over the Magpies took Chelsea above Liverpool and West Ham United into fourth place. Before Chelsea sacked Frank Lampard and replaced him with Thomas Tuchel last month, they were in danger of not making it into the Champions League for next season but that is in the past as they are one of the form teams in the Premier League. Only league leaders Manchester City can better the recent run of 13 points from the five games under Thomas Tuchel. Manchester City have recorded 15 points from their last five games in the league.

Dmitar Berbatov was correct with his prediction for the Chelsea game but that was not the case with his prediction for the Arsenal and Manchester United games. DmitarBerbatov had predicted a 3-2 home win for Arsenal over Leeds United but the Gunners went one better with a 4-2 victory. For Manchester United, he predicted a 2-0 away win over West Brom but his former club could only play a 1-1 draw with the Baggies.
